Namji people are a small group from north west of Cameroon. They are very famous for their incredible handmade dolls featuring the finest design and originality. These  timeless sculpture are hand-carved  from African Rosewood, a legume tree native to the Democratic Republic of Congo, Gabon and Cameroon.

The Namji Doll helped prepare the young Namji woman for a role as a mother in her future life. They were also kept by older women to promote fertility
