Hand-carved from a solid piece of indigenous wood, this incredible vintage stool made by jola people who are pastoralist scattered throughout West Africa mainly  Senegal(Casamance), Gambia and Guinea Bissau . The Jola people have been mainly rice cultivators and harvesters for several centuries.

This stool features beautiful patterned carving details with signs of age and use.

Since this piece was hand carved, it has different variations and signs of wear which makes it one-of-a-kind piece for your space.
